Barts and The London Alumni Association (BATLAA)
All students once graduated, become part of Barts and The London Alumni Association, or BATLAA. This includes all alumni who qualified from The London Hospital Medical College and St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, as well as the current Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
BATLAA provides continuing links between all former Barts and The London medical and dental students and Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Barts and The London Dental Club (BLDC)
Formerly known as The London Hospital Dental Club (LHDC), this alumni chapter is dedicated to the interests of former students and staff of The London Hospital Dental School, which is now the Institute of Dentistry. The Dental Club was initiated in 1953 with the first AGM held on 20th February 1954, when the first Chairman (later changed to be called President) was elected.

The Club hosts an Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM) in early Spring which offers alumni the opportunity to extend their professional development, as well as to meet up with their contemporaries. Each year an annually elected President organises and hosts a programme of talks on topical issues in dentistry by leading practitioners at the ACM.

The next Annual Clinical Meeting will be held on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 2019. Dr Lochana Nanayakkara (The London, Dentistry BDS, 1992), Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, is curating the programme for this CPD-accredited event, which is going to be held in the Whitechapel campus. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are welcome to attend lectures, free of charge. The programme will be available shortly.

Join the Queen Mary Network for the Dental Alumni Mentoring Scheme
The Institute of Dentistry and DentSoc, in conjunction with the Barts and The London Dental Club, have initiated a mentoring scheme to support current students and alumni with developing themselves.

Mentoring is about partnerships between those with in-depth experience and knowledge in a specific area and others seeking guidance and learning in the same area. There is a wealth of experience amongst our alumni body, whether it is as practitioners, researchers or any of the myriad of other roles our former students perform. The Queen Mary Network, our new networking platform, hosts the Dental Alumni Mentoring Scheme's online presence and is a secure forum for mentees to approach mentors.

If you would like to get involved, please register for the Mentoring Scheme via the Queen Mary Network. You can also view a presentation to find out how you can join. For more information, please contact batlaa@qmul.ac.uk.
