"Mummies and Daddies" is a fantastic way to get to know students in other years. In your first year, you will be appointed a 'mum' and 'dad' from the year above you. These 'parents' will then become a point of contact for you, as they can answer questions about student life, guide the way, and even give you great material and tips on exam preparation. You will meet your 'mum' and 'dad' at our famous Mummies and Daddies event in September and from then on it will be up to you and your new Barts family to stay in contact!
Freshers, it's our first and probably most important event, so make sure you attend! This is where you are assigned to two Barts “Parents” doing the same or similar course, who will take you to dinner, and welcome you into the university. Often bonds formed for life, parents are for more than just freshers. We recommend you stay in touch with them for support and tips from older years throughout (i.e. steal all their revision notes!)
